Description
The purpose of this packet is to equip you, the teacher, with all that is required to help students understand and be able to find the number of possible x – intercepts of a polynomial function based on its degree.
The resources found here can be used in any way you see fit. However, they could easily be used in a virtual classroom (distance learning) by using the following approach.
- Assign the notes as reading.
- Students should take their own notes based on the reading. That means, highlighting important ideas, writing down questions, observations and predictions, and following along with the examples (not dictation).
- Either use a virtual meeting to host a lesson using the attached PowerPoint, or have students watch the video (linked below).

- Feedback, including videos working out the difficult problems is attached to the quiz. Students access this, and other sources of remediation AFTER submitting their quiz.
