The resources found here can be used in any way you see fit.  However, they could easily be used in a virtual classroom (distance learning) by using the following approach.

  1. Assign the notes as reading.
    1. Students should take their own notes based on the reading. That means, highlighting important ideas, writing down questions, observations and predictions, and following along with the examples (not dictation).
  2. Either use a virtual meeting to host a lesson using the attached PowerPoint, or have students watch the video (linked below).
  3. Assignment
    1. Paper and pencil
      1. Attached answer document
    2. Google Form Quiz
      1. Feedback, including videos working out the difficult problems is attached to the quiz. Students access this, and other sources of remediation AFTER submitting their quiz.

With this packet, you will receive a zipped file.  In that file will be the following:

  • Student notes (reference, good for teacher refresher)
  • PowerPoint (animated and engaging)
  • Homework Assignment
  • Assignment Key
  • Google Forms Quiz Link (you can create your own copy for privacy of your students)
